ABOUT US

Y2Y New Haven started because young adults in New Haven saw a critical need for safe, affirming, and youth-specific services, launching what has become a city-wide movement. Since 2018, Y2Y NHV has worked in partnership with students, youth experiencing homelessness, our partner organization Youth Continuum, other dedicated service providers, and community members to operate a safe, affirming youth-specific overnight program. Crisis Housing serves 12 young adults per night with access to showers, laundry facilities, internet & computers, meals, medical & mental health services, case management, and an array of support and pathway services.  Y2Y NHV fills a critical need in the community, allowing us to get within reach of ending youth homelessness in New Haven.

Growing up is hard enough, and I’ve always been passionate about addressing youth homelessness because no young person should have to face the added burden of housing insecurity during such a critical time in their life. I am touched by the youth-to-youth mission of Y2Y, and particularly love getting to connect as peers and helping to provide a safe shelter environment specifically dedicated to young adults.
