Beds at Y2Y

Y2Y is a student-run overnight program in Harvard Square for young adults experiencing homelessness. We are a low-threshold program that provides sanctuary and helps young people achieve their goals at their own pace.

30-Day Bed

Y2Y’s long-term beds are given away via random lottery. You can enter the lottery in two ways:
1. You can enter via an online form (linked above) starting October 8th. Lottery entries can be submitted until 7:59am on October 15th for that morning’s lottery. Lotteries will take place starting the morning of October 15th. If you win the lottery, you will be notified by 9:15am each morning and you may begin staying at Y2Y that night. Online entrants will be notified of their bed status at the email address(es).
2. You can call Y2Y at 617-864-0795 between 8:00-8:30 a.m. the morning of October 15th and every morning after that. You will be asked for your name and birthday, to ensure eligibility, and given a lottery number. To find out if you have a bed, call back after 8:45 a.m. or come to the entrance, where we will post the winning lottery number(s).
Y2Y does not give away any beds at the door.

  • Doors open at 7 p.m. 30-day guests must be in the space by 10 p.m. or call Y2Y to let us know they will be late (in by 10:15 p.m.) or taking a “night out”
